“If there’s a cause worth fighting for, it’s this: children belong in families.”
Nicole Skellenger
The Issue
Indiana has a total of approximately 12,138 children affected by foster care and/or kinship.
17% reside in our counties

These numbers are approximate and changing daily. Statistics provided from IYI
Impact on our Society
Each year close to 30,000 children age out of the foster care system and have to be self sufficient at age 18 – 21

Resulting in $1 million economic burden for each young person we fail

Not everyone is called to foster, but everyone is called to do something. Read stories here of how lives are being affected through The Isaiah 1:17 Project.
Our focus is to care for children by supporting the fostering families who volunteer to love and care for them. Our goal is to expose them to life experiences that help them see their potential as more than their circumstances. With your support, we can ensure better outcomes for children and families impacted by the foster care system.
