One family can be changed by one community, one church, one heart who cares! Together we can make a difference, one child at a time!
Family Care Connections Provide Relationship-Based Support to Help Create Stronger Families
Churches are often full of people who want to make a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable children but don’t know how. They simply need a plan and guidance. We call church-led ministries that serve vulnerable children and families Family Care Connections. Church teams or a partnership of churches work together to support children and families. Each FCC is unique and the direction of your FCC depends on the heart of your church congregation and the specific needs of children and families in your local community.
We believe if churches are empowered then people will step up, either by becoming foster or adoptive families or by committing to support a family in crisis.
The Isaiah 1:17 Project comes alongside churches in their existing efforts or can Trauma Train and equip churches in their desire to help families who are caring for children coming from vulnerable places.
“When we wrap around vulnerable families with tangible supports, advocacy, and with God’s love, we see communities strengthened and empowered to care for God’s children.”
The Isaiah 1:17 Project empowers and equips teams and church partnerships to provide Family Care Connections with these goals:
- Raising Awareness for children in our communities from vulnerable places
- Advocating on behalf of families caring for our communities’ children
- Recruiting families to care for at-risk children
- Serving fostering, kinship, and adoptive families
- Equipping volunteers to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of children and families
