Christmas Hopes and Dreams
A chance to support fostering families in this time of year, both financially and by showing that they have a community behind them.
Christmas is a special time for our F3 families
Foster families expose children in their care to ideals and potential they might otherwise not entertain in the family situations from which they’ve been removed. These exposures change how a child might consider their future, thereby having potential to reduce the risks typically experienced by children in need of foster care. When a community supports a foster family in a way that maximizes their budget, they help ensure enriched life experiences can be offered for all children in their home. Life enriching experiences beyond basic needs such as music, dance, or athletic activities, vacations and other learning experiences, concerts, museums, etc.are often at the bottom of the list of priorities as needs must be met first and the cost for larger families can be prohibitive. However, it’s these enriching experiences that challenge a child in need of foster care to consider different possibilities for their future and see their potential as greater than their circumstances.

Christmas at The Isaiah 1:17 Project is one of those special opportunities where, because of the great community of support, fostering families are provided a shopping opportunity for all the children in their home at discounted prices, maximizing their budget to encourage them and better make available life enriching experiences for all children in their home. Parents are able to choose items that meet their child’s interests and needs and children are given a chance to give too, preserving dignity and pride in this time of giving.
In addition to helping families being served in the program, all fostering families in each community served by The Isaiah 1:17 Project have a special time to gather, celebrate, and all children in a fostering family are able to choose a toy as well.
